Mission

Nanolab-Academy is a federating student nanosatellite project developing orbital systems for French universities and engineering schools.

Nanolab-Academy's chief goals are to:

GET STUDENTS IN HIGHER EDUCATION ENGAGED IN SPACE BY DEVELOPING SMALL SATELLITE SYSTEMS COMPRISING:

  • Nanosatellites
    • in cubesat format
    • with a mass between 1 and 20 kg

  • Payloads for:
    • measuring Earth environmental parameters
    • acquiring Earth imagery (at different resolutions and in different spectral bands)
    • locating mobiles (ships, trucks, etc.)
    • contributing to exploration of the solar system
    • observing the universe

  • Ground segment
    • VHF/UHF 2-GHz and 8-GHz ground stations
    • control centre and mission centre

CONCEIVE NEW TECHNOLOGY CONCEPTS AND PROVE THEM IN ORBIT

Proving of innovative technologies aims to raise their technology readiness level (TRL) so that they can be used on other space missions.
